Transport Canada and Canadian Council of Motor Transport Administrators (CCMTA)/Conseil Canadian des Administrateurs en Transport Motorise (CCATM) have established standards and regulations for regulated drivers, vehicles and carriers. Element’s new Compliance Program will provide International Registration Plan (IRP) licensing and renewal services and International Fuel Tax Agreement (IFTA) tax reporting to the provinces. Benefits include invoice processing and payment and consolidated billing through Element.
The National Safety Codes (NSC) are a set of national standards supported by provincial regulations. The NSC program establishes management and performance requirements for commercial carriers and the NSC standards establish minimum safety standards for commercial vehicles and drivers. The Element Compliance Program, along with other Element service programs, will also provide support for a portion of the 16 National Safety Codes.
